Alpha Kappa Alpha will continue its focus on education with an emphasis on historically black colleges and universities HBCUs. Activities will include researching and publishing information regarding prominent Alpha Kappa Alpha women and other notable individuals who attended HBCUs. The goal is to stamp the Alpha Kappa Alpha brand of financial support on each HBCU campus to help students remain in school, complete their course of study, and receive their college degrees.

The young ladies must maintain good academic standards and strive to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2. The Precious Pearls Club is an approved sponsored middle school program. The Precious Pearls Club fundamental purpose and objectives aligns with those of the Twenty Pearls Club and are intended to lay the foundation for academic, social, and personal improvement and possible future participation in the Twenty Pearls Club. Similarly, the objectives include - educational, social and cultural experiences that will assist young ladies in becoming well-rounded citizens; opportunities to gain information, knowledge and insight into the evolving role of African American women in a global society; on-going experiences which encourage responsible citizenship and promote community involvement.

AKA has enriched minds and encouraged life-long learning; provided aid for the poor, the sick, and underserved; initiated social action to advance human and civil rights; worked collaboratively with other groups to maximize outreach on progressive endeavors; and continually produced leaders to continue its credo of service.
